How long have you been in business? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel has been serving the Cincinnati area since 1886. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
How many weddings do you do each year? It varies, and we have been very successful in accommodating couples who want to have a church wedding but found other chapels to be booked months or years in advance. We welcome all new prospective wedding family members to inquire about our fees, availability and capacities for both small and large ceremonies.
Where are you located? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel is located at 1222 Ida St., overlooking the city, near Eden Park, Rookwood Pottery and the Celestial restaurants.
What sets you apart from others in your industry? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel is an authentic church rich in history and charm. For smaller weddings with up to 100 guests, (utilizing only the services of the Pilgrim Chapel minister and only two bridal party members), we offer a most economical one-stop venue for both the wedding, and either a garden or indoor reception.
What is something new that you are excited to share? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel has upgraded our sound system. Guests can hear even more clearly, the ceremony and music. There is no additional charge for our sound. If desired, we will provide a complimentary audio CD of the entire service.
What are the advantages of using your services? Included in our wedding cost are the services of our caring and friendly minister, the Pilgrim Chapel Wedding Coordinator, organist and sound system operator. We also can arrange for accomplished instrumental performers from CCM to perform for a nominal fee. Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel is warm and welcoming to all persons of goodwill. There are no membership requirements, however the minister would like to meet with the couple at least once, prior to the ceremony.
What is your favorite part of the Wedding Day? The blessing and sacred union of two people who are joining together in love and mutual respect.
What should a couple know about your service that they may not have thought of? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel is a small community of people who genuinely and personally care for and about each other regardless of differing or nonreligious beliefs. We care and pray for each and every one of our newlyweds. Some have returned to our services or activities because they feel ‘like family’. Our on-going, sincere friendship can be very helpful and comforting in supporting a new couple’s relationship.
What are some of the advantages of hiring a Professional? We have an on-site Wedding Coordinator to help with organizational details before and during the rehearsal and wedding day. While we do not endorse any one vendor, within our congregation, we have a photographer, DJ and florist with whom we have an economical working relationship. Our CCM students provide nominally cost, outstanding instrumental and vocal music.
Anything else that you would like to share? Mt. Adams Pilgrim Chapel is flexible with requests within keeping of loving Christian values. We are also canine friendly and welcoming to gentle, well-trained family members.
