Why should a bride and groom choose you for their wedding photographer? There are lots of reasons but mostly it’s because it feels like a good fit. At Images by Daniel Michael each of our couples has all the advantages of a larger studio with added experience, back up options in case of sickness or injury to a photographer and the blend of styles that comes with having input from so many different photographers. At the same time, it’s absolutely critical that they have a personal connection and experience with their team. That’s why each of our teams personally handles each appointment and engagement session once they’ve been chosen. It’s the best of both worlds. Every photographer has their own style but here, each photographer not only has their style but they also have the structure and core values of our entire team.

- I’m sure there are others but these are the ones that have actually presented awards to us.
What is your favorite thing about your job? The people. This is our couples, their family and friends, the vendors but also our team of photographers. I’m truly blessed to have made so many relationships doing something I love so much.
Are you using any new or cutting-edge technology? I think most photographers are pretty much on the same scale here. Some like to use video which I don’t. Some have more current cameras than others. But ultimately the technology is just a tool.
What you see in the moment is what makes a wedding photographer special. What is your most memorable wedding/bride? That one isn’t fair. I love them all! I’d never choose just one favorite. Some were special because of their personality, some because of their décor and style, some because of the party they threw, some because of the destination (Italy was my favorite destination wedding though I’ve had a few in Florida that were pretty hard to beat) and some because of the friendships I’ve developed since.
What do you want readers to know that they may not have thought of? Your photography is clearly important but your photographer has a much larger impact than that. I say that not to build myself up but because the research should be just a little more than just liking the photos. Your photographer controls the timeline, flow of your day, interaction with you and your family and friends and how much time you actually have to enjoy yourself. You want a photographer that has the same priorities as you. Great photos for sure, but to enjoy your time with your guests as well. When photography becomes too big of a priority to the photographer, your enjoyment of your day can suffer. Artistry is great, but capturing memories is forever.
