Meet the husband and wife team at BH Photography! Brett and Jess are a dynamic duo from opposite professions that work together from their home office and studio in West Chester, Ohio. Brett began his professional photography career in 1997 at the University of Cincinnati athletic department and quickly made his mark in the national market working for clients such as Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, RISE Magazine, and USA Today. Brett decided to venture into the wedding industry in 2007 after creating close relationships with colleagues in the business. Jessica comes from a background in teaching and focuses on the business side of BH Photography. She handles the day-to-day operations, designs the albums, and acts as a second shooter allowing for the team to capture more of the small details on the wedding day!
Brett has fifteen years of commercial photography experience which offers a very diverse photography background while Jess has more of a documentary style with great attention to detail. Together their photography style is customized and tailored to match the couple getting married. Jess states, “Every couple and wedding is unique, we make sure that our photography style will compliment the couple best!” They get inspiration from working with the couple and their families to capture the energy on the wedding day. “A really fun and outgoing couple allows us to think outside of the box a little more and push ourselves to come up with new looks”

What sets you apart from other wedding photographers? “We are who you get. We don’t like the idea of making your wedding an impersonal experience by sending others out to do our work. Besides, we enjoy what we do. Why would we want to miss out on the fun??”
What is your most favorite moment of the wedding day to capture in a photo? “I think it’s when we pull the couple away for a little down time and they can just be themselves and take in the newness of being married. “
If you could photograph the wedding of any celebrity or couple (past, present, or future), who would you choose? “I don’t think who the couple is, is as important as what their personality is like. We are laid back and easy going and want to enjoy the wedding as much as our clients. Our celebrity couple would have to be someone that we could see ourselves hanging out with for a day outside of the wedding. Because we spend the entire day with our clients it’s so important to have good chemistry with them in order to have a fun and successful shoot.”
